After opening the file, watch the tutorial. Then, you may begin. When finished, save in dropbox in the appropriate folder with your name (Folder = GOOGLE DRIVE - Digital Literacy, Name It). A Little About ME.pptx
Record an introduction in the first slide! For Example: "Hi My Name is Mrs. Merk! I am a teacher at Algonquin Middle School. I hope you enjoy learning a little about me!" When recording audio...don't have the microphone over your mouth! See Examples Below! :)
NOT RIGHT... The microphone is too close to my mouth, so it will sound like a wind tunnel!
STILL NOT RIGHT!... The microphone is right under my nose, so it will STILL sound like a wind tunnel.
JUST RIGHT!!!! ^_^... The microphone is just above my nose, almost at eye level. It will pick up my voice with less background noise.
But...My Microphone Isn't Working!!!!
First, I would check the plugs. If you carefully unplug from the plastic part (not the wire), you will see that one has black stripes on the tip and the other is red stripes. Black stripes are the headset (also has a small icon of the headset on the dark part). That gets plugged in on the top, the audio jack. Red stripes that also have a picture of a table top microphone on the dark part, get plugged into the bottom or microphone jack.
<-- See this little thing on the cord?
Turn to one side and there is a scroll bar. Scroll it up...maybe someone left the sound all the way down before this class.
Flip to the other side, see this switch? Make sure it is up (farthest from the picture). That switch turns on your microphone.
