The single most important thing you can do in a computer class, or when completing any work electronically. Study this information carefully in order to save properly. Improper saving is usually due to a mistake on the user's (person's) side.
TERMS and DEFINITIONS
- DROPBOX = Students can save to the dropbox, and can often open their own files. Students cannot open any files from the Dropbox that are not their own.
- SHARED DRIVE = Students can only open files from the shared drive, they cannot save anything to this folder.
- SAVE AS = This option is for naming a new file, or renaming the file to save more than one version.
- SAVE = This option is for saving your work while you are still working on it. After a change or addition, SAVE is to ensure that what you just did is properly saved in the same file which should already be named (using SAVE AS).
